About the Author
I began writing poetry as a child in Trinidad and Tobago, where I fell in love with rhythm and rhyme. Writing has remained a constant thread throughout my life, evolving alongside me. When I moved to Europe, and became a mother poetry became a way to reflect, question, and understand this chapter. The poems in this collection were shaped over eight transformative years of motherhood, years filled with wonder, bliss, chaos, rediscovery, and remembrance.
Today I am also a web scientist (PhD) and an intercultural, interdisciplinary, intergenerational researcher. My work explores connections between seemingly unconnected ideas, drawing inspiration from ancient and Indigenous African ways of knowing, science, and technologies that emphasize our deep interconnectedness with each other, the earth, and the universe. Through poetry, I reconnect with the child within and reach toward self‑realisation and infinite potential.
